She's Gonna Get ZAPPED!

I have a lot to be thankful for this year.
But...
Next year....
I AM NOT going to cook the dang BIRD!
That is a whole lot of work!
But it was fun, and there was so much good food!
I went out side to take a break,
after stuffing the bird and putting it in the oven,
and this is what I saw!
It was awesome, all those itty bitty birds.
It was almost like a gathering of mourning souls,
and they knew that I had a big bird in the oven.
Of course they were all chirping, so maybe they were singing the happy dance!
Who knows.

Today, the day after Thanksgiving, was WORK WORK WORK.
Who makes us work?
SISSY MAKES US WORK!

Yes this not so innocent horse!
Here she is doing what she does best!
LEANING!
Buckling the fences!
And in doing so, she got a tumble weed stuck in her mane!
She did that on the OTHER end of the pasture, and walked all the way over to me,
with this stuck in her mane.

So what happens when you have a leaning horse?

Yep!
You eltrocute her!
Well not really.

She had this fence almost laying down in the yard.
HER SIDE is on the left!
MY SIDE is on the RIGHT!
She could of just stepped over it into our yard.
So I told hubby, GOTTA FIX IT!
So first thing this morning,
we are out there straighting it up.
Of course Sissy and Sadie decided they just had to help.
I did not have my camera at that time, darn it!
But Sissy just has to TOUCH everything!
Just like a kid that can't keep their hands to themselves.
Finally they got bored and went off to graze on what they could find.
I would look up and notice her watching our every move though.
After we got the hotwire HOT,
I had  hubby fix a few other spots too.

This is my tack room.
Believe it or not, SISSY would get between it and the fence!
Would scare me to death!
So we fixed it.

On both ends!
Yep, now she can't get in there.
Then While I am standing out there, while hubby ran to get some tools,
Sissy LOOKS AT ME....
And purposely walked between the round pen and the fence.
The look on her face said:
"See what I can do?"
"You saw that DIDN'T you?
because I walked over to my side of the fence and waved my hand,
Which is by the burning barrel in the photo.
and said back up, and she backed out of there.
LIKE SHE KNEW she should not of been there.

So we fixed it too!
Sadie is a good pasture Equine.
She does not lean.
She does not push her way into things.
She does not have to touch everything within reach.
I love both my horses!
They both give me 50% of what I need,
and that is 100% of Horseyness!

Yes, I am ever so thankful for my hubby!
I could not of gotten one any more perfect than
if I could of ordered one from Sears!

Freedom of the Open Road

Well, Winter is upon us,
even though we are being blessed with some pretty nice days.
But the bike is put away,
it sits in the shop,
looking lonely and sad.
Yep,
Come spring time,
we will be riding again!
Here is a video hubby found on You Tube,
that will just have to do
until we can ride again!

My Purses are on Ebay!

I just listed three of the purses that I made, on Ebay.
Check it out, and pass the info!
Thanks!

Now to see the other two, click "SEE OTHER AUCTIONS!"

Thank you!

Hurricane winds!

I don't have pictures today! Sorry...
Last night I was awaken by the WIND!
Then I heard the sky open up and dump the rain.
The wind has blown all day long, and it still is as we speak.
I am sure that the prediction of 55 mph winds were true!
I HATE THE WIND!

During the driving force of these winds, I had a bright idea!
Go out in my yard,
to the several different pile of leaves I had raked up on Thursday.
Areas where I had not raked yet, had no leaves!
And the piles were not moving because the rain water weighted them down.
SO I took my handy dandy little rake out there, and
I started flinging leaves up in the air!
It was awesome!
The leaves would float to the sky and then come down at the neighbors place!
:))
I hope they did not see me doing this!
Not only did I probably look like an idiot,
but I am sure they did not want extra leaves, even though with the winds
they are not going to hang around long.

I did not make much of a dent in the piles though, but is sure was fun
traipsing through them.
Felt like a kid!

Sissy and Sadie came over to investigate and I always like to take the opportunity to
"desensitize"!
So I threw leaves up!
Sissy just stood there!
Never fazed her or Sadie that leaves were swilling around them!
Good!
Awesome!
Then I thought, ummmm
Back Scratcher!

So I let them both smell the rake.
It is one of those, that has the retractable tines.
So I retracted them, so the tips were just out a bit.

After they were done smelling the rake and licking it,
I decided to try it on Sadie first.
Mostly because she was closest to me!
She just stood there while I raked her fur! LOL
The dust blew out from the layers of her fur coat!
The slight bow in the rake made for the perfect butt scratcher!
She loved it!

Sissy was totally interested in it, and she tried to nibble on the rake,
As I was raking Sadie!
She always has to taste things!
So I moved over to her, and slowly touched her with it.
She just stood there, and I raked her butt and sides too!

Hubby comes out of the house to see what I am doing, and says:
"What are you doing? RAKING your HORSES?"
I said YEP! It is an extension of my arm! LOL

This was all done in the wind too!
I felt a good bonding moment today with the Ladies!
A good 15 minutes per Lady!

Oh on the way to work Friday,
I took this video!

I felt special in that 'Once in awhile' I am in the right place at the right time!

OOAK Purses!

PURSES!
PURSES!
PURSES!
Cute purses!
Handy Dandy Purses!
I have come up with the PERFECT Purse!
They measure 11 Inches tall and 12 inches wide!
They have a pocket on the front, perfect for your keys.
(Click on photos for a larger version.)

The inside has pockets on both sides, and there is even a small
little pocket to stick a PEN!
Ever have trouble finding a pen when you need one?
Well here is the solution!
It is always right at your fingertips!

The top purse has kittens on a beach.
The blue one is made of denim,
with cotton lining.

The red is a denim type material, and the inside is lining.

This last one is awesome!
It has flames, and on the inside you see the white stripe?
Well it is the edge of the fabric. OOPS!
I wanted to be able to get two out of the material I got, and this was the only way to do it.

So, if any of you out there, need a purse that is just the right size,
is handy to carry around,
loaded with pockets,
Just let me know!
I will be putting them up on ETSY or EBAY haven't quite decided yet,
but I thought I would give my bloggers the first choice.

These are the only ones like this.
I won't promise I won't make more out of the same material.

I am selling them for a low price of just:
$25.00 ea.
Plus...
A small $5.00 shipping fee.

I am sure that these won't last long.
I know my Daughter-in-law, is expecting one for Christmas! LOL

I will be previewing more as I get them made.

Any ideas out there, just let me know.
I am open to suggests.

Well? Would YOU?

This is my office at work.
Take note of the NEW monitor to the left......
Boss Man said he wanted to put up some security camera's.
Ok.
For the shop area, and the work bays, and the till.
That is all fine.

Do you notice something here?
Look in that corner below the vent in the ceiling.

Note the pictures on the monitor:
Top Left....
MY DESK!
Yep It is pointed DIRECTLY AT ME!

There I am in all my glory!
Taking a picture of myself on the monitor.
THE CAMERA IS NOT EVEN POINTED AT THE SAFE!
Which I would think Boss Man would want to do.
Instead it is pointed directly at ME!

It is very hard to work under these circumstances.
Trust is a big issue here.
After over a year of service I would think that I could be trust worthy!
I will be giving my notice because I can not work for someone
that does not trust his employee's.
If he thinks he has to monitor my time every minute, then
he can have this job back.
His shop runs smoothly, so much so that he has
just about taken a year off from there.
IF it did not run smooth and his employee's were NOT trustworthy,
then He would not be able to take the time off that he does.

Oh well. Maybe it was meant to be, because I am starting up my own
bookkeeping business.
I am just trying to get it off the ground,
and more on that later.

When a Sparrow Falls.

First: I can not take credit for the following.
I got it in an email, and I had to grab some tissue!

She was hit by a car as she swooped low across the road

Her mate brought her food and attended to her with love and compassion

He brought her food again, but was shocked to find her dead.
He tried to move her...a rarely-seen effort for swallows!

Aware that his sweetheart is dead and will never come back to him again,
he cries with adoring love.

He stood beside her, saddened of her death.

Finally aware she would never return to him, he
stood beside her body with sadness and sorrow.

Many people cried after seeing these photos in America, Europe, Australia, and India.

The photographer sold these pictures for a nominal fee to the most famous newspaper in France.
All copies of that edition were sold out on the day these pictures were published.

And many people still think animals don't have feelings.
You have just witnessed love and sorrow felt by God's creatures.

The Bible says God knows when a sparrow falls.
How much more He cares for you and me.

Psalm 2009

I don't know who wrote this.  I just sorta felt like sharing it.

FIRST BOOK OF GOVERNMENT

Obama is the shepherd I did not want.
He leadeth me beside the still factories.
He restoreth my faith in the republican parthy.
He guideth mein the path of unemployment for his party's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the bread line,
I shall fear no hunger, for his bailouts are with me.
He has anointed my income with taxes,
My expenses runneth over.
Surely, poverty and hard living will follow me all the days of my life,
And I will live ina  mortgaged home forever.
I am glad I am American,
I am glad that I am free.
But I wish I was a dog.....
And Obama was a tree.

Brings a tear to your eye, doesn't it?

There is a UNICORN in my yard!

At the Sage Riders tail ride competition they did some decorating,
and some members had gone to the goodwill and found some really neat stuff.
This costume was one of them.
It fit my grandaughter perfectly.
I really wanted her to wear it for Halloween,
but,
her mom got her a different outfit.
Anyway, Today I had a lot of fun with her, taking pictures.
Here are some of them:

 Unicorn choosing her food.

Unicorn walking on all fours.

 Just to darn cute!
She looked really cute from the back side with the tail! LOL

 Checking out the water source.

 Here she is going down!
A motion photo!

This is what she wore for Halloween

And this was her dad on Halloween!
Look at them EYES! LOL

HORSES and ELK! What a combo!

Cameron our youngest got a very nice elk this year.
A 5x5!
It was huge!
There was:
HIDE!
FUR!
Oh My Gosh!
Desensitizing Tools!

If he would let me, I would take the head out and put it in the pasture,
Like he would really let me! LOL

Anyway, The two back legs came home with the hide still on them.
They skinned those legs, and I took the hide and put it over the railing on the round pen.
Sissy was already in the round pen,
(Time change is messing her up, and she was calling me for dinner!)
Flopped them right in front of her face.
She never even flinched!

She smelled and smelled and smelled and smelled!
I never thought she was going to quit!
Almost like she was sniffing glue!
They don't make glue out of elk hides? Do they?

Then she played peek-a-boo.

Sniffed some more.......

Then stood pretty for a picture.

Played some more peek-a-boo.
I think she thought she would "charm" some hay out of me!

The interest is gone now.
She is done playing peek-a-boo.
Done with the sniffing.

Guess I will go munch grass!

GOSH! I LOVE MY HORSE!
Nothing fazes her.
She goes with the flow.

Don't be fooled by the photos. My pasture looks like crap!
Very short grass. Nothing really to eat for the horses.

But they still work on it all the same.

Side by side they go.

Like little vacuum cleaners.

Back and forth.
Grabbing every new blade that has managed to show its face,
during these nice days.
There is nice NEW green grass coming up all over town.
It looks like Spring.
But I think last night did it all in.
It got COLD!
FREEZING!

After looking so pitiful, and since I was out there anyway,
I decided to feed them, and they each got one flake of hay.
Since they look so starved!
NOT!
They eat like they haven't eaten for days too!

While they were munching, I tossed out my last bale of straw
for their bedding.  I will be getting wood chips next time around.
Then maybe they won't be inclined to eat their bed! LOL
