Sometimes things are unexpected!

This is what I saw today, only Star was facing the other direction.
She had her back to the gate.
I open the gate and walk in with a brush in each hand.
She looked over her shoulder.
Saw me coming.
Buddy walked up to me...
Star remained napping.

She always gets up when I go in the pasture.
Today she didn't.
So I quietly walked up to her.
Expecting her to get up.
She just remained in the same position.
I bent down and rubbed her head and neck.
Even brushed her face.
I sat down next to her.
We had a bit of a conversation,
and a few more pets.
(Of course I DID NOT have my camera with me!)

I was a bit worried, so I gently got up,
and walked over to Buddy and started brushing him.

Well that did it!
Star did not want to be left out.
So she came over, and this is how we brush!

Buddy always lays his head over Star when I brush her.
It is so cute.
Sometimes I get to steal kisses!

Then I thought I would fill up their salt and mineral bowls.
After I laid them out,
Libby lays down and itches her belly on the ground.
She looks so cute doing that.
Then she gets up,
and has a burst of energy and runs in circles around me!
She is so pretty when she runs!
Then she quietly went back to grazing,
and I quietly left the pasture,
walking on cloud 9!

Mrs. C, I just love how Star has her head over Buddy. THAT is adorable!

"We had a bit of a conversation..."

I do that with my dogs. I have no idea if they can understand me, but I so enjoy talking to THEM. And when I say words like "treat", "walk", "bath"...they perk up so! Because THOSE words they DO understand!

Thanks for sharing your darlings with us! I really enjoy your stories and pictures!
