Roses and Bugs!

Here it is, almost the end of October, and I still have roses!
My Pussy Willow tree provides a little to much shade, and
so they have grown quite tall.

I love taking close ups of my roses.

 They are so pretty!

Then there was this huge guy!
He was on my screen door and one of my girls spied him.
I could of swore I heard the critter hissing, but not sure.
So I rescued him, and for that he had to give me a photo shoot!

I am not a bug person,
But.....
I love Praying Mantis's.
They are good and do you know they prey on
WOLF SPIDERS!
Yes they do!
So I will keep them around all the time.
I only see them occassionally.
I need to research them more, to make my garden more friendly for them.

The Cowboy and the Preacher

I got this in my email today and thought it was rather cute, and am sharing it with all my blogger friends, instead of forwarding the email around. As I say, not much goes around that I have not read before, but this one I do not remember and it brought a smile, and I hope it brings a smile to someone else.

The Cowboy and the Preacher
One Sunday, a cowboy went to church. When he entered, he saw that he and the preacher were the only ones present. The preacher asked the cowboy if he wanted him to go ahead and preach.

The cowboy said, "I'm not too smart, but if I went to feed my cattle and only one showed up, I'd feed him."

So the minister began his sermon.

One hour passed, then two hours, then two-and-a-half hours. The preacher finally finished and came down to ask the cowboy how he had liked the sermon.

The cowboy answered slowly, "Well, I'm not very smart, but if I went to feed my cattle and only one showed up, I sure wouldn't feed him all the hay."

TO ALL YOU HUNTERS OUT THERE!

I don't come from a long line of hunters,
but I married into them.

This is from a San Francisco newspaper!

And Folks, just remember as you read this, this person probably drives AND votes! And, may have already reproduced!

My hubby and sons are getting ready for there hunt this year.

When I was younger, YES I COULD of been the one to write this, but I have wised up over the years.
"I think."
