Riding on a cloud!

Today was Umatilla Sage Riders PLAY DAY!

I went to "help" out.
I had no idea what happens during a play day,
so I am here to volunteer my time and check things out.

Meet CISCO!
Cisco came to check things out too.
But he wanted to play!
I wanted to play!
He is an 18 year old 'been there' 'done that' horse.
Riding him was offered to me and
I thought why not!
Everyone else looked like they were have a grand time,
and I might as well try it out.
My first pictures between the ears!
I am only sad they are not from Libby.
 But Cisco will do!
He is a grand horse!
The gal in the Helmet was the one that brought him.

Yes, Next time they will be Libby's ears.
Here we are competing in the KEY HOLE race.
Going out to the figure eight race.
Looks like we are walking, but we actually trotted around them poles!
And after each event, we galloped back!
Did I say GALLOP?
Yes, Mr. Cisco knew EXACTLY what he was to do!
Get to that finish line!

We did FOUR events...

Pole Bending
Key Hole Race
Stake Race
and the
Figure Eight.
Ms. L, did not know if he had been gamed on,
as she uses him out in the pasture,
On a Cattle Ranch,
to go round up her other two horses that
graze on 40 acres.
If Cisco were for sale?
Well you know where he would be living!
Libby would have a brother! :))

Oh yeah,
I almost forgot....
I even won
5th place
in the
KEY HOLE
competition!
I have the most beautiful PINK ribbon to show off!

Yes, Today I Was Riding On
CLOUD NINE!

That is so grand. How brave of you to do that on a horse that is different than what you are used to riding.

That is why I originally declined to ride Cisco..but then I thought, "what is the worst that could happen?" HAHA..I did not even have my helmet! Silly me! But once I felt and knew how he trotted and cantered, we were in the competition!

Cloud 9 indeed! And galloping around, too? Wow! I've yet to gallop even. You go girl! I'm glad you had such a great time on Cisco, and I hope the next time will be with Libby :)

How awesome!! I have a sweet spot for those old gray horses. They've been there done that and are the best.
You did great too!!! Gallop on! And keep winning those ribbons!!

Congratulations! I know of "fun days" for dogs, but never heard of them for horses. How terrific to have fun days for horses and people who love them.

Hugs,
Lois

My mother was horribly phobic where horses and cows were concerned. Imagine the day when my 17 hands - 17 year old - Paint jumped the fence. Only wanting company, he shoved our old screen door open and walked right into the kitchen: my mom was peeling potatoes at the sink...right before she was climbing into the sink. (seriously)

Got I loved that horse.
