A MOMENT IN TIME

WOW!
I am just on cloud 9!
Ever have one of those moments with your horse
that just makes your heart pitter patter?

I just did!

I came home from work, and Sissy and Sadie were out in the "L"
part of our pasture that runs in front of our yard fence line.

Sissy is use to Sassy, one of the dogs.
Sassy makes a game of trying to herd Sissy and
Sissy will run along the fence line playing.

But......
Sadie on the other hand does not think to kindly of this game

So I hardly ever see her out front.

When I got home they were both there.
So I ran in the house grabbed a couple hand fulls of NICKER Treats
and went out the front door.
Sissy of course came right to me.

Sadie looks at me, and she wanders over to me too.
I am handing treats out to the girls, and the ladies.

YUM! YUM! Everyone is happy.
I run out of treats, and Sissy she wanders off grazing on some blades of grass
that are trying to come up out of the ground.

Sadie hangs out with me over the water barrel.
Then all of a sudden....
She starts to LICK MY HANDS! WOW!
I have never had a horse lick my hands....
But Sadie was!
SO awesome.
I think it was a bonding moment.
I held my breath.
Not wanting this to end.
She would put her nose in the water, swish it around...
Sniff my hand, lick some more.

This went on for about 5 minutes. Not near long enough!
I think we bonded! LOL

I think the NICKERS should be renamed to LICKERS! LOL
This is SADIE and me.

And here is Sissy and Me.

My two wonderful Ladies!

I hope my mare will do that with me one day, too.
It's funny how she was getting her nose wet first. I bet your hands were sopping wet. lol!

My horse is a OCD licker. She'll lick my hand like a pacfifier when she is nervous. ;)
